As healthcare moves away from the traditional fee-for-service reimbursement to value-based purchasing and risk-sharing programs, quality initiatives can be very overwhelming. It is vital for organizations to begin focusing and targeting specific problems to ensure that quality data is accurately reported.
Our team of MDs, RNs, CDI and coding professionals works together to identify, report, and assist in correcting and monitoring documentation. Our services are geared toward patient safety, quality of care and, most importantly, ensuring the accuracy of reportable data throughout the continuum of care.
Keeping Up to Speed with Query Compliance
The 2019 AHIMA Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice tasked facilities to train any individual whose line of work impacts provider documentation and coded data. We are all held accountable for keeping the record compliant. The trail of “breadcrumbs” leading to new and additional documentation should be easy to follow.
Some facilities hope that their practices are transparent, but training is necessary for those in and out of CDI and coding to be compliant in discussions that impact coded data. But, “hope” is not a strategy for case management, performance improvement, quality departments, or provider practices for generating compliant queries. At Intellis, we partner with you to strategize effective training solutions to get your facility’s departments up to speed quickly.
